Charcoal is so much fun – messy, but fun. I’m especially proud of the light in the eye on this one.

Great Egret

Yet another Great Egret. This makes five. I absolutely love this one, with the tail feathers blowing around, a big halo of white.

Another mother and baby scene. Cute, right? Mama is feeding her chick a spider. Yum.

I’m pleased by the perspective on the beak and eye feathers.

I like how angry he looks, and those crazy eyebrow feathers. I’m not thrilled about the hand, but it’s not really the focus of this drawing.

Baby Crow, just as fierce as the adult.

Cutie bird. This is not a chick. He is full grown. They are just that small and squat.

I’m not sure I got the beak right on this one. They look longer in other pictures. He’s a shore bird, a thick-bodied wader.
