I see these birds often at Point Isobel. Pretty. I like the neck and body, but I am urked by how stiff the wing looks. Technically accurate, but emotionally dead.

emotionally dead, you say, but colorful and that's a nice distraction from your own stiffness. I like pink.
The pink background is from the huge four foot long drawing (that I did in my undergrad) that I tore up as a background for these bird drawings. It can be really challenging to find birds that fit well on the backgrounds, but I enjoy making it work.
